U.S. Coast Guard anticipates establishing a safety zone to support
Asian Carp suppression activities

CLEVELAND - The U.S. Coast Guard anticipates establishing a safety zone to support Asian Carp suppression activities.  The safety zone will likely prohibit all traffic until operations are complete.

The project is still in the planning stage, but we expect the following:

WHERE: Little Calumet River below Thomas O'Brien Lock and Control works, at approximatly miles 323.2 to 325.3.

WHEN: May 21, 2010, to possibly May 27, 2010.

We regret the lack of specificity, but want to provide as much advance warning as possible.  We will notify you as the details become more firm.
